Companies and Corporate Support

How companies and businesses can help

There are lots of ways that businesses can help Headway Devon to improve life after brain injury.  Working with local companies is vital to raise awareness of brain injury and can help us to raise valuable funds.

Collection boxes – these are a great way to raise awareness and funds for Headway Devon. If you think that you may be able to provide a home for one of our boxes, please get in touch.

Sponsorship opportunities – we are often looking for sponsorship for items such as charity Christmas cards and display boards, as well as at events like our annual conference. If you’d like to find out more about the opportunities available at the moment, please contact ruth@headwaydevon.org.uk or call 01392 211822.

Organise a ‘Hats for Headway’ Day – this really is as straighforward as it sounds. Like a dress-down day, participants simply make a small donation (we suggest 50p-£1) to spend the day wearing a hat of their choice – the wackier the better! These fun events work particularly well at club meetings, in the workplace and in schools and colleges.

Make us your ‘Charity of the Month/Year’ – if your business is looking for a local charity to fundraise for, please get in touch to find out about what money raised for Headway Devon could mean to local people whose lives have been turned upside down by brain injury. We’d be very happy to visit your business to talk about brain injury and the work that we do.

Jewellery recycling – Our jewellery recyclign scheme means that we can raise vital funds for local people with brain injuries, while benefitting the environment. If your employees have old or unwanted jewellery, please consider collecting it for this recycling appeal.  We can accept any jewellery, from precious metals to costume jewellery. Even damaged, broken and incomplete items will help.

Donations – cash donations are very gratefully received but we realise that this kind of support can be difficult for businesses. There are lots of other ways that companies can donate to improve life after brain injury. For instance, we often need raffle prizes, items to sell on charity stalls, venues for training and events, IT equipment and resources for use at our centres.

Staff volunteering – we may also be able to offer volunteering projects through our fundraising department or at our rehabilitation centres. If this might be of interest, we’d love to hear from you to discuss the possibilities.

We are very grateful for any opportunity to raise awareness and funds for local people with brain injuries, so please get in touch if you think that your company might be able to help us.
